Aranjuez: Meeting with students taking part in the "Built with Bits" project

A meeting for schools dedicated to discovering the Napoleonic heritage of Aranjuez, Spain.

On Thursday 8 February 2024, the President Vincent Chauvet and the director Eleonora Berti of the FECN presented Destination NapoleonCultural Itinerary of the Council of Europealongside Maria Davila, Councillor for Culture and Education at theAyuntamiento De Aranjuez and Maria del Pozo López, Director of the Aranjuez Cultural Landscape Foundation and the Federation's contact person for Aranjuez, to the local schoolchildren involved in the project. Built with Bits. This educational project is being developed in close collaboration with Europeana and coordinated by Arianna Duri, coordinator of our Cultural Itinerary. The project aims to create a digital space where Destination Napoleon and Napoleonic heritage in Spain can be discovered in an engaging and fun way. Pupils from schools in Aranjuez will have the task of building the room dedicated to their city. Jose Antonio Lopez Medina, a writer and specialist in the history of Napoleon, gave a talk on Napoleon and his links with Aranjuez and Spanish history.
