2023
In 2022-2023, our Destination Napoleon itinerary underwent the regular three-year assessment required of Cultural Routes certified by the Council of Europe. The in-depth evaluation of our work and activities highlighted many outstanding features and identified possible improvements, mainly in terms of visibility and in the field of tourism.Destination Napoleon successfully passed the evaluation and, by meeting all the required criteria, obtained the renewal of the "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe" certification.
In 2023, the European Destination Napoleon Week took place between 5 and 12 May, coinciding with the anniversary of Napoleon's death (5 May) and Europe Day (9 May). The theme chosen for the European Destination Napoleon Week 2023 was Napoleon and Botany. It also provided an opportunity to inaugurate the second online exhibition created in partnership with Europeana: this initiative will be repeated in future European weeks.
