In 2025, Destination Napoleon continued its work as a Cultural Route certified by the Council of Europe, strengthening cooperation between its members and promoting Napoleonic heritage across Europe. The year was marked by dynamic growth in the network, with the arrival of new members, notably Ancona in Italy and Val de Louyre and Caudeau in France, as well as by closer ties with numerous European local authorities and cultural institutions.

The route’s activities have also cemented its presence at several international events dedicated to heritage, history and the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes. From Milan to Malta, via Portugal, the Federation took part in conferences, professional meetings and initiatives to promote Napoleonic heritage, whilst developing new partnerships. The year was notably marked by recognition of the commitment of Charles Bonaparte, Honorary President and founder of the Federation, who was honoured at the Wellington Honour Awards in Torres Vedras, as well as by the continuation of initiatives combining heritage, research, contemporary creation and outreach to new audiences.
