Destination Napoleon: renewal of our certification as a Council of Europe Cultural Route

Every three years, certified cultural routes such as Destination Napoleon are assessed to renew their "Council of Europe Cultural Route" certification.

FECN Destination Napoleon 1

The renewal of certification by theExtended Partial Agreement is the final stage in an evaluation process lasting more than 6 months, which aims to verify the quality of the itineraries' work, their consistency with the values promoted by the programme and their compliance with the criteria established by the Council of Europe.

In 2022-2023, our route was evaluated by external evaluator Giovanna Rech. Her in-depth review of our work and activities highlighted many outstanding features and identified areas for improvement, mainly in terms of visibility and tourism.

The final stage of the assessment took place on 11 May 2023 in Luxembourg, when the Chairman of FECN-Destination Napoleon, Vincent Chauvet, and the Director, Eleonora Berti, presented the route to the EPA's Management Committee.

Destination Napoleon successfully passed the assessment and, by meeting all the required criteria, obtained the renewal of the "Council of Europe Cultural Route" certification.

Thank you to all our members and partners for their fundamental support and daily involvement in the life of Destination Napoleon.
