This year, the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities celebrates 10 years of certification of " Destination Napoleon "A Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.

Since its certification in 2015, Destination Napoléon has been structured as a platform for exchange and cooperation between member institutions, and has established itself as an essential itinerary for history buffs, travellers and the curious. This transnational network, which links several territories across 12 European countries today, allows visitors to discover emblematic and lesser-known sites where Napoleon left his mark: Ajaccio (France), with the birthplace and the Fesch Museum, Jéna (Germany), with the battlefield and the Planetarium, the Royal Palace of Milan (Italy), or Braine l'Alleude (Belgium), with the famous Waterloo 1815 Memorial.

To mark this significant moment for the network, numerous events will be organised throughout 2025. Cross-border projects involving the members of the network, historical re-enactments, conferences, exhibitions and guided tours will enable visitors to discover Napoleon's rich heritage, a shared European heritage that transcends borders: the aim is to offer an open and multi-perspective vision that helps to better understand the complexity of this era and the impact it has had on contemporary Europe.

Join us in celebrating this decade and immerse yourself in the fascinating story of Napoleon Bonaparte, a man whose legacy continues to resonate across Europe and beyond.
