Annual General Meeting of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities 2025

L'General Assembly Annual European Federation of Napoleonic Cities 2025 took place from 5 to 7 May at Luccain Italy. During the first day, participants had the opportunity to discover the city and its Napoleonic sites, as well as the "Recognising Walls" exhibition.

The second day was devoted to the statutory meeting and the presentation of projects and activities carried out by the FECN-.Destination Napoleon and by its members. In addition, the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities and theAssociation Européenne des Vie Francigene signed a cooperation agreement with a view to developing a new cultural tourism strategy. In the afternoon, participants took part in two workshops led by Professor Maria Laura Gasparini, from the University of Bologna, and Eleonora Berti, Director of the FECN, entitled: "Interpretation of Napoleonic heritage, community involvement and cultural tourism: exchange of practices" and "Destination Napoleon: signposting on the sites and itineraries of the Cultural Route".

The third day included guided visits to the Palazzo Mansi National Museum, the exhibition "Elisa Baciocchi's Green Revolution" at the Lucca Botanical Gardens, the olfactory trail "The Nose and History" and Elisa's Theatre in the Palazzo Ducale.
