The Battle of Jena and Auerstedt in 1806 was more than just one of the many military conflicts of its time. It was also a trigger for profound uncertainty and cultural and political change.

Meanwhile, in Jena, the great German philosopher Hegel wrote his first major work, the "Phenomenology of Spirit". As a contemporary witness, he saw Napoleon ride through the city on horseback and wrote about his experiences of the "spirit of the world on horseback". Later, with the Battle of Jena and Auerstedt, the region would become the theatre of world history, from which a profound political and cultural shift would emanate, felt throughout Europe.

"Napoleon - And the stars of his time" tells the story of Napoleon using the latest technology: Immerse yourself in the world of 1806. Napoleon as narrator guides you through his Jena as he experienced it at the time. History can be experienced up close thanks to the unique multimedia reconstruction of the "FullDome". The Sternevent GmbH production was created in close collaboration with Questionmark - Entertainment, the city of Jena, the "Jena 1806" e.V. association and a host of other partners. Financially supported by the Thüringer Aufbaubank.

Charles Bonaparte will represent the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities-Destination Napoleon at the premiere on 14 October 2021.
