To mark the bicentenary of Napoleon's death, the city of Plymouth (UK) has launched a website dedicated to the port city's Napoleonic heritage.
The site contains ideas for routes through the city, on foot or by bike, as well as activities for younger visitors.
The town is famous for having welcomed the ship Bellerophon into its bay, known in English as «Plymouth Sound», in July 1815. It was here that Napoleon's fate was decided, as he was held on board.
Plymouth Sound, the UK's first Marine National Park, is a great place to explore this part of our heritage, particularly through nautical expeditions.
