À l’occasion de la sortie du film Napoleon de Ridley Scott, avec Joaquin Phoenix dans le rôle-titre et Vanessa Kirby dans le rôle de Joséphine de Beauharnais, nos villes membres ont organisé des projections du film en avant-première ainsi que des initiatives.
The world premiere of the movie will take place on Tuesday 14 November at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby et Tahar Rahim, ainsi que Ridley Scott, participeront à l’événement. Le mardi 21 novembre à l’Arlequin à Paris, la projection du film sera suivie d’un débat avec les historiens Jean Tulard et Charles-Éloi Vial et le rédacteur en chef du Figaro Histoire, Geoffroy Caillet, animé par l’historien Benoît Yvert.
The city of Braine-L’Alleud in Belgium is holding a preview of the film on Saturday 18 November at the Kinepolis-Imagibraine cinema.
Le 21 novembre, une avant-première du film aura lieu au cinéma Arletty d’Autun, suivie par un débat avec Marin Menzin, doctorant en histoire moderne et spécialiste de Napoléon, qui donnera son impression et son point de vue d’historien sur le film. Marin Menzin animera également des séances scolaires et une masterclass au Lycée Militaire dans la matinée.
Before the film Napoleon, the cities of Montereau-Fault-Yonne will present the promotional video Destination Napoleon France, produced with the support of Ministry of Culture, and the programme for the 210th anniversary of the Battle of Montereau on Tuesday 21 November at the Confluence cinema in Varennes-sur-Seine.
A preview will also be held at Rueil Malmaison le 21 novembre au cinéma Ariel. Le samedi 2 décembre à l’Auditorium de la Médiathèque, se tiendra une table ronde sur « Napoléon au Cinéma » en présence de Jean Tulard, universitaire et historien français, grand spécialiste de Napoléon Ier et de l’époque napoléonienne.
At the Rex cinema in Pontivy, on Sunday 26 November, soldiers and ladies from the First Empire will welcome you to the evening screening of the movie Napoleon. In addition, the cinema will be showing the Destination Napoleon France promotional video before each screening of the film.
The Brigade Vandamme association of Coudekerque-Branche , in First Empire dress, will be present at the film's screenings held at cinemas in: Ociné Dunkerque, on Wednesday 22 November for the 8.30pm screening; Ociné St Omer, on Friday 24 November for the 8.30pm screening; Pathé-cinéma- Calais, on Saturday 25 November for the 4pm screening.
Professor Luigi Mascilli Migliorini, member of the Scientific committee of the FECN–Destination Napoleon, will host a discussion on the figure of Napoleon on 23 November at 6.30pm at the Giunti Odeon bookshop and cinema in Florence, before the screening of the film.
