The town of’Almeida is organising a series of events around the Napoleonic era from Thursday 26 to Sunday 28 August 2022.
As well as the various historical re-enactments taking place in the city, there will also be the opening of the “Homem Morto Passou por Aqui” (Dead Man Passing by) exhibition at the Almeida Military History Museum."A dead man passed by here".), discover the 19th-century market through the narrow streets of the town, try your hand at a cultural and dance evening in the Dr. Casimiro Matias square, or sample the local cuisine in the 19th-century tavern at «Terreiro Poço do Rancho».
