Vincent Chauvet, Mayor ofAutunCharles Bonaparte succeeds him as President of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities
Vincent Chauvet was elected President of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities at the General Assembly on 23 September 2022. He succeeds Charles Bonaparte, founder in 2004 of the Federation, which currently has 45 member cities in eleven European countries.
A former student of HEC and SciencesPo Paris, he also holds a degree in History from the University of Paris-IV Sorbonne, where he was a pupil of Jacques-Olivier Boudon, current Chairman of the Federation's Scientific Committee. He has been a member of the European Committee of the Regions since 2020, where he sits on the Culture Commission.
The General Meeting also saw the election of the Executive Vice-President of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities, Ana Umbelino.
City Councillor of the City of Torres VedrasIn Portugal, she is also head of the association "Route historique des Lignes de Torres Vedras", a cultural and tourist trail located 30 km north of Lisbon. At the General Assembly, she was elected Executive Vice-President of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities.
