2-3 June 2023 in Autun, France
The Annual General Meeting of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities 2023 took place on 2 and 3 June in Autun, France, hosted by Vincent Chauvet, the new President of the Federation and Mayor of the town.
The first day was devoted to the statutory meeting and the presentation of the projects and activities carried out by the FECN-Destination Napoleon and its members.
The second day was marked by a workshop led by Professor Alessia Mariotti from the University of Bologna, which gave participants the opportunity to discuss the creation of the network's tourism products.
The town hall hosted the exhibition " Napoleon in Playmobil " and the lecture by Professor Jacques-Olivier Boudon, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the FECN-Destination Napoleon, " Pius VII - The pope who stood up to Napoleon ".
Participants had the opportunity to explore the town and visit the Autun municipal archive, which holds a copy of the Description de l'Égypte and autograph letters from Joseph and Lucien Bonaparte.
