
The 2026 General Assembly of the Fédération Européenne des Cités Napoléoniennes (FECN) will be held from 31 May to 2 June 2026 in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. This major annual event will bring together members of the Destination Napoléon network to review progress, current projects and prospects for cooperation on a European scale.
This 2026 General Meeting will be an opportunity for the members to review the actions taken over the past year, share the outlook for the coming months and discuss ongoing projects. It will also be an opportunity to strengthen the links between the towns and partners in the network, to encourage new cooperative ventures and to meet the new members of the Federation.
Organised at Herceg Novi, Located at the entrance to the Bouches de Kotor, this new edition will also feature a town with a remarkable heritage and a history closely linked to the Napoleonic period. Founded in 1382, Herceg Novi is known as the “City of Sun and Mimosa”. Under the French administration, Marshal Marmont initiated the construction of the Napoleonic road, It is still regarded as an important historical landmark.
This year's edition will also have a special institutional dimension, with the announced presence of the Minister of Tourism of Montenegro and Minister of Culture of Montenegro, This is just one example of the importance attached to this event.
The Annual General Meeting will be held at Lazure Hotel & Marina, Meljine, Herceg Novi. To reach the city, participants can use the airports of Dubrovnik, Tivat or Podgorica.
