The countdown is on for the annual General Assembly of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities, which will take place from 31 May to 2 June 2026 à Herceg Novi, Montenegro. This meeting is an important moment in the life of the Federation, where reports, projects and exchanges between members come together to advance the work of the network and the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. The 2026 General Meeting will be an opportunity for members to review the work carried out over the past year, to share the outlook for the coming months and to discuss ongoing projects. It will also be an opportunity to strengthen the links between the cities and partners in the network, to encourage new cooperative ventures and to meet the new members of the Federation.
Held in Herceg Novi, at the entrance to the Kotor Strait, this new edition will also honour a town with a remarkable heritage and a history closely linked to the Napoleonic period. Founded in 1382, Herceg Novi is known as the “City of Sun and Mimosa”.
