The countdown is on for the annual General Assembly of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities, to be held from 5 to 7 May 2025 in Lucca, Italy. This is a key moment in the life of our Federation, where projects, assessments and meetings between members of the network come together to shape the future of the FECN and the Council of Europe's Cultural Route "Destination Napoleon".
The 2025 Annual General Meeting will be an opportunity for the Federation's members to share their common strategy for the coming months, to review the many initiatives undertaken during 2024 and to discuss ongoing projects.
The 2024 Activity Report will be an opportunity to measure the impact of the events, exhibitions and projects carried out by the Federation and its members.
The main theme for discussion will be the fundamental relationship between culture and tourism within the network, and in particular the link between actions to preserve and promote Napoleonic heritage and opportunities to structure sustainable local and European cultural and tourism strategies. The General Assembly represents a unique platform for exchange between the members of the Federation. Partnerships with local institutions, private players and international networks will also be presented, with the aim of strengthening synergies between members and creating the premises for ambitious projects for the future.
A time will be set aside to introduce new members and discover the sites and buildings of Napoleonic Lucca.
The Federation warmly invites all its members and any institutions or towns interested in our activities to take part in this General Meeting, so as to help enrich our joint projects and build a shared vision for the future. The role of Destination Napoléon is vital to the success of these initiatives, and every contribution counts.
Join us in Lucca from 5 to 7 May 2025 for a landmark General Meeting!
