The countdown is on for theAnnual General Meeting of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities, which will take place from 5 to 7 May 2025 in Lucca, Italy. This is a key moment in the life of our Federation, when projects, reviews and meetings between members of the network come together to shape the future of the FECN and the Council of Europe’s «Destination Napoleon» Cultural Route.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting will be an opportunity for the Federation's members to share their common strategy for the coming months, to review the many initiatives undertaken during 2024 and to discuss ongoing projects.
The 2024 Activity Report will be an opportunity to measure the impact of the events, exhibitions and projects carried out by the Federation and its members.
The main theme around which discussions will centre will be the fundamental relationship between culture and tourism within the network, and in particular the link between efforts to preserve and promote Napoleonic heritage and opportunities to develop sustainable cultural and tourism strategies at local and European level. The General Assembly provides a unique forum for discussion amongst the Federation’s members. Partnerships with local institutions, private sector organisations and international networks will also be presented, with the aim of strengthening synergies amongst members and paving the way for future joint projects.
A time will be set aside to introduce new members and discover the sites and buildings of Napoleonic Lucca.
The Federation warmly invites all its members and any institutions or towns interested in our activities to take part in this General Meeting, so as to help enrich our joint projects and build a shared vision for the future. The role of Destination Napoléon is vital to the success of these initiatives, and every contribution counts.
Join us in Lucca from 5 to 7 May 2025 for a landmark General Meeting!
