From May 2021 to November 2021 - Villa Carlotta, Italy.

Villa Carlotta and Villa Melzi d'Eril are offering a special joint visit of their collections, through the testimonies of the Napoleonic era on Lake Como. The initiative coincides with the opening of the new Lodovico Gallarati Scotti Museum in the former orangery of Villa Melzi, where a section is dedicated to Duke Francesco Melzi d'Eril (1753-1816), Vice President of the Italian Republic and Chancellor Guardian of the Kingdom of Italy. At Villa Carlotta, alongside works collected by Giovanni Battista Sommariva (1762 - 1826), owner of the Villa since 1801 and President of the Government Committee of the Cisalpine Republic, recent acquisitions will be presented, as well as paintings, furniture and sculptures from the Palazzo Reale in Milan.
