Meeting of the scientific committee

Zoom oOdRGoKzEU

On 18 February 2021, our scientific committee met to discuss the activities of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities (FECN).

The President of the Committee, Jacques Olivier Boudon, praised the diversity of origin and actions of the events proposed by the member cities and the Museum Network for the Bicentenary 2021. From exhibitions and re-enactments to concerts and fun activities, the events will take place all over Europe, and will help to highlight the multiple perspectives and collective memory of the different countries.

Our scientific committee is also pleased to announce the theme of the first edition of the Destination Napoleon European Week, which will take place from 1 to 9 May 2021 :

Through this theme, the FECN invites citizens and enthusiasts to rediscover the Napoleonic heritage through activities around their homes and through online conferences organised by the Federation.

During the meeting, the committee also discussed the other ongoing activities of the FECN, such as the development of a virtual exhibition or heritage tours in member cities.
