To celebrate 20 years of the FECN, the signing ceremony of the FECN Charter took place on 25 May 2024 in La Roche-sur-Yon, France.

The signing ceremony for the Charter marking the 20th anniversary of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities took place on 25 May 2024 at La Roche-sur-Yonin the presence of Chairman of the FECNVincent Chauvet, the Mayor of La Roche-sur-Yon, Luc Bouard, and the Emperor, as part of the French town's 220th anniversary celebrations.
The Fédération Européenne des Cités Napoléoniennes was founded on 24 May 2004 in La Roche-sur-Yon by Charles Bonaparte, now Honorary President of the FECN, and was born of the desire of local authorities to place their Napoleonic historical heritage in a European context.
