The town of Coudekerque-Branche has received a stele bearing the names of Coudekerquois who fell during the French Revolution and the 1st Empire.

Below are the words of David BAILLEUL, Mayor of Coudekerque-Branche.
A Nugget... and a well-deserved tribute. The Heritage Days can be both a time of celebration and conviviality around History with our multi-epoch camp, but also an opportunity to discover sometimes "nuggets" of local history.
This was the case this year, when our Napoleonic enthusiasts carried out extensive research in the local archives to find the names of all the Coudekerquois who fell on the field of honour during the Napoleonic Empire.
These people of Coudekerquois had never been recognised. Now, on Tuesday morning, the stele that I received during the weekend of the multi-epoch camp has been permanently installed at the Town Hall, to remember and commemorate their memory. Coudekerque-Branche forgets none of its children
